
INTRODUCING ENGLISH TO A STRANGER
To practice our English with a stranger, we
should know:
1. We consider that the stranger is not
busy
2. We consider that the stranger is
friendly
3. We consider that the stranger is a
native
4. We consider that the situation is not
crowded
To begin our conversation, we frankly say
that we are the student of SMK Profita Bandung in order that a stranger never predicts
us an English guide, such as:
1. Excuse me, is it alright to trouble you, because we are students of SMK Profita Bandung and we mean to speak English with you.
2. Excuse me, we want to introduce with you, because we are students
of SMK Profita Bandung and we have an assignment to practice our English
with you.
Then we follow up our opening above with:
My name is........... (Just call-name) and
what it’s your name?
X........................ (He/She mentions
his/her name)
How do you do!! (Nice to meet you) and
shake
To ask for other question, we should
manage our question considerably or step such as the bellow:
Manner he/she comes and time-living:
1. Which country do you come from?
2. How did you come here from your
country?
3. Why do you come to visit my country?
4. How do you feel during your trip?
5. By the way is it your first coming
here?
6. What do you think of our country after
you are here?
7. How long have you been staying here
until now?
8. Will you plan to stay here for ages
/for a long time?
9. By the way, where are you staying now?

His/hers interest:
1. By the way, anything makes you
interested that you like my country as your destination?
2. How did you know about Indonesia that
you are interested in our country?
3. Any specific/anything special aim
beside your destination?
4. What do you think of our tourism places
here?
5. And where have you been during here?
6. What kind of culture have you seen
during you are here?
7. Don't you think that are impressed?

Whit whom he/she comes:

Seasons:
1. What season happens at this time in
your country? It is winter, springs, autumn, or summer

Sometimes we feel difficult to enlarge our
conversation with them for our limited views or words-power that we will finish
our conversation soon. Actually we ask some questions like:

10. English matter
If we want to take our picture with him or
her, we can say:
1. Excuse me, can we take our picture with
you?
2. Excuse me, may I take a picture with

If we manna ask for his/her address, we
can say:
1. Excuse me, could you write down you
home-town address here?
2. Excuse me, here is my names-card?
Finally, we can close our conversation
when we consider that our time is up or a stranger feel tired and say:
